God's generosity to Techno Geeks and Barn lovers
Ted's new TV came today. Here is the first Wii Mario Cart game.
I am sitting here on the couch being in the same room with Ted as he is playing with his new toy. The kids are in bed, we've watched "our show" (The Closer), and we now have an aquarium as the screen saver and Paccabella's Cannon going in the background. He just two seconds ago mentioned that it has been almost exactly one year since he had started this computer/tv creation journey. That statement brought our devotional to my mind and I had to re-read it to him out loud. "When you bring Me your requests, lay them out before Me and speak to me candidly; pour out your heart. Trust me by relinquishing control to Me". We both were able to marvel at how cool God is and how He honors the requests of even techno geeks like Ted. It is even more cool to think about the barn that Ted really really wants, and how when it does come, we will both know that it came directly from God. My other devotional was about how Generous God is, and how He gives generously to us so that we can give generously to others. Being able to discern between greed and a generous gift from God is of course an honest question. It is nice to have the peace of knowing the many times I have given generously to others (albeit sometimes to the chagrin of my sweet husband) and that this TV is a generous gift from God. We wait patiently, with secure hope in the God who gives generously to His children, for the desire of Ted's heart for a barn in his backyard.
