Moment by Moment Trust

This is Drew at SSPP (Will and Zach's school) when we went to pick up Will today.  That is our neighbor Meg walking with him to show him her locker.  The trouble is, Drew got shy.  Normally he LOVES Meg and asks all the time to go play with her at her house or go on a bike ride with her to the end of the block.  But all of a sudden, take him out of his familiar surroundings....at this Big School..... he got shy and didn't even make it to go see the locker at the end of the hall before he came running back.

My devotional today talked about how we need to come to terms with God's plan for Moment by Moment Trust in Him.  We cannot let our circumstances or feelings of fear or inadequacy dissuade us from being steadfast in our Trust of Him.  Don't fear what is ahead or what could be, simply live in the Moment and Trust in Him right then.  We are usually happy to Trust God when things go well, but it is an In the Moment choice -and sometimes a hard choice- to Trust God when things are going wrong.

Drew didn't trust Meg quite enough to let her lead him all the way down that scary hall to her locker.  He let his circumstances and feelings get in the way of his trust in her.

Lord help me keep my eyes on you and make it all the way down the Hall with You.  Help me to not give in to the fear of the Moment.

FYI......He really wanted to take his backpack today and getting out of the car he said "mom, when I get big tomorrow, can I go to school?"
